<p>Softaculous is an auto-installer available in DirectAdmin that lets you install WordPress and hundreds of other applications with just a few clicks. This guide covers the complete WordPress installation process.</p>
<h3>Step-by-Step Installation</h3>
<ol>
<li>Log in to DirectAdmin.</li>
<li>Find and click <strong>Softaculous Apps Installer</strong> on the dashboard.</li>
<li>In the Softaculous panel, search for <strong>WordPress</strong> or find it under the <strong>Blogs</strong> category.</li>
<li>Click the <strong>Install</strong> button on the WordPress page.</li>
<li>Configure the installation settings as described below.</li>
<li>Click <strong>Install</strong> at the bottom of the form to begin the installation.</li>

<h3>Installation Settings</h3>
<p>Fill in the following fields during installation:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Choose Protocol</strong> - Select <code>https://</code> if you have an SSL certificate installed; otherwise use <code>http://</code>.</li>
<li><strong>Choose Domain</strong> - Select the domain where you want WordPress installed.</li>
<li><strong>In Directory</strong> - Leave blank to install in the root of your domain, or enter a folder name (e.g., <code>blog</code>) for a subdirectory installation.</li>
<li><strong>Site Name</strong> - Enter the name of your website.</li>
<li><strong>Site Description</strong> - A brief tagline for your site.</li>
<li><strong>Admin Username</strong> - Choose a username for the WordPress admin account. Avoid using <code>admin</code>.</li>
<li><strong>Admin Password</strong> - Set a strong password for the admin account.</li>
<li><strong>Admin Email</strong> - Enter your email address for admin notifications.</li>
<li><strong>Language</strong> - Select your preferred language.</li>
</ul>
<div class="alert alert-warning">Do not use <code>admin</code> as your username. Common usernames are targeted by brute-force attacks. Choose something unique and difficult to guess.</div>
<h3>After Installation</h3>
<p>Once the installation completes, Softaculous will display your WordPress admin URL (typically <code>https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin</code>). Bookmark this address and log in with the credentials you set during installation.</p>
